Elly Pistol loves animals.Even though we are a small player in a large fashion world, we think it is important to take our responsibility, not least for our animal friends.
Animal welfare should be taken into account in all parts of our processing chain.All material derived from animals, which may be used in the production of Elly Pistol products, must be from animals that have been treated humanely and in accordance with applicable animal welfare laws and recommendations.
Leather, suede, genuine fur
We call ourselves 'Animal Friendly', which means that we will never use leather, suede or real fur in any of our products.
Down and feathers
Elly Pistol has so far not used down or feathers in its products and has no plans to do so. If we were towe do not allow feathers and down to be picked from live birds. All down and feathers must be thoroughly washed and sterilized before use in products. Down and feathers should come from birds that have been bred for meat production.
Elly Pistol has so far not used merino wool in its products and has no plans to do so. If we were towe allownot mulesing, the surgical procedure performed on Merino sheep to prevent attacks by blueflies. Elly Pistol only accepts merino wool originating from farms that do not carry out mulesing.
Elly Pistol has so far not used angora wool in its products and has no plans to do so. If we were towe only allowangora wool cut, shaved or combed from the angora rabbits. Angora wool must not be picked from the rabbits.
Human rights and the environment
Of course, we also protect human rights as well as the environment, and we have a strict code of conduct that applies to all our suppliers. But since the animals are particularly close to Elly Pistol's heart, we think it's extra important to show where we stand as a company when it comes to animal rights.
